PT Putera Manunggal Perkasa (PMP), a palm oil company under the auspices of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ), won an award from the Directorate General of Papua Customs as an appreciation of the biggest import tax payer in 2018.
The Importers Award of the Largest Import Duty Importers 2018 to PMP was given at the Sorong Customs Award 1.0 event held by the Office of Supervision of Customs and Excise Customs Type C Office in Sorong City on Wednesday (3/13) in Sorong.
"We are grateful for the appreciation to PT PMP and welcomed the commitment of the Director General of Customs and Excise in the Corruption-Free Region (WBK) and the Clean Serving Bureaucracy Region (WBBM) because this supports and facilitates the company's operations," PMP General Manager Bambang Wijanarko said official information received by InfoSAWIT, not long ago.
The Head of the Regional Office of the Director General of Papua Customs and Excise, Akhmad Rofiq, in his remarks reaffirmed the commitment of his staff to work free from corrupt practices and to appreciate industry players who comply with customs taxes.
Aside from being a form of obligation to the state, paying disciplined and honest import duty tax is in line with one of the main values adopted by the company, namely integrity, added GM PMP Bambang Wijanarko.
Operating in the Districts of South Sorong and Maybrat, the PMP together with PT Permata Putera Mandiri (PPM) operating in the District of South Sorong, are two ANJ subsidiaries that operate oil palm operations in West Papua that prioritize intrinsic values namely Integrity; Respect for Humans and the Environment; and Continuous Capacity Building.
